Two classrooms for Deaf students presented in Namibia

30.9.2010

Vilhjalmur Wiium ICEIDA´s Country Director in Namibia has formally presented two classrooms for Deaf students attending the Andreas Kandjimi primary school to the educational authorities of Kavango's County. "This school is unique among schools in Namibia, because it has a large department for Deaf students. Almost all other Deaf kids who attend school are in special schools for the Deaf. The department has therefore received support through development cooperation between Namibia and Iceland. Those two classrooms are a part of that support and they are intended for Deaf classes," says Vilhjalmur Wiium.
