Administrative Coordinators from Iceland´s Partner Countries Visiting
19.6.2008
Six administrative coordinators from Iceland’s offices and embassies in ICEIDA’s partner countries are in now in Iceland for a training and study trip. The administrative coordinators are women from the respective country in all of the countries except for the office in Kampala, Uganda’s capital, where an Icelandic woman is the administrative coordinator. The administrative coordinators had a lunch meeting yesterday with Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Many of the partner countries’ administrative coordinators have worked a long time for Icelanders but only one of them has previously been in Iceland. During the trip, a special emphasis is put on training concerning ICEIDA’s finance and filing system but the administrative coordinators will also have an opportunity to go sightseeing in the capital and its neighbouring area.
The administrative coordinators are: Sharon Pondler from Nicaragua, Jenny van Bosch from Namibia, Gilda Lopes from Mozambique, Tharsini Pillai from Sri Lanka, Linley Magwira from Malawi and Guðrún Kristjánsdóttir from Uganda.
