Long Description
The overall objective is to increase food security and socio-economic development in Mozambique through institutional capacity building of the Institute of Aquaculture of Ministry of Fisheries in planning, policy, managing, monitoring aquaculture activities. Specific Objectives · Increase the human capacity within the Institute of Aquaculture · Development of a curriculum for a professional training programme in freshwater tropical fish farming to be run at Escola de Pesca · Development of an aquaculture short course for extension officers and reference farmers · Improve access to aquaculture literature in Institute of Aquaculture, Escola de Pesca and technical colleges in Mozambique · Development of Institute of Aquaculture database for small scale aquaculture management · Establishment of an Aquaculture Institution |
