Webinar on Business Opportunities for Icelandic Companies in Canada
On November 26, 2025, the Embassy of Iceland in Ottawa and Business Iceland co-hosted a webinar focused on doing business in Canada.
The session featured a presentation by Nancy Ward, Founder and Principal of Grow Trade Consulting Inc. in Toronto. It also included remarks by Hlynur Guðjónsson, Ambassador of Iceland to Canada, Gudmundur Oskarsson, EVP at Kerecis and Chair of the Icelandic-Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and Per Unheim, Head of Public Affairs and Trade at the Embassy of Iceland in Ottawa.
Topics included Canada's main industries of relevance to Iceland's export priorities, including renewable energy, tech and innovation, fisheries and food industry, and tourism. Also covered were regulatory and governance issues to consider when entering the Canadian market as well as typical market entry channels.
Additionally, Grow Trade Consulting introduced services that Icelandic companies now have access to through the company's new partnership with Business Iceland.
