Authorities in Mozambiques plan to cut the number of illiterate by one million annually

A new and ambitious plan to fight illiteracy in Mozambique has been approved by the government. The aim is to reduce the number of illiterate by one million each year for the next five years to come. The plan was endorsed recently by a committee of ministers, led by the president of Mozambique, Emilio Guebuza. ICEIDA provided technical support in the development of the plan.
